Allison Goode was born and raised in Laguna Beach. Her mom was a professional photographer and Allison grew up inspired by her artistry and her ability to make people smile while capturing their essence. She learned early to make time to create and express herself.
She was also influenced by a great friend of hers, Gabriel Burchman, a professional artist who currently lives and produces paintings in Maui, Hawaii. He taught her almost everything she knows about the arts and practicing art as a profession.
She has been a director of art galleries in Laguna Beach. She co-owned and operated Laguna Galleries from 2000-2004. She currently owns and operates an Expressive Arts Therapy business where she inspires people to heal and grow through their creative expression.

1. She loves to snowboard in Mammoth.
2. Her first outing to the Sawdust Festival was in 1980, when she was just 10 days old. This will be her 7th year exhibiting her art there.
3. She has a passion for travel.
4. Maui is her second home.
5. Sharing art therapy is her favorite pastime.
Allison paints in oils and uses a photography process that incorporates gold and silver leaf. She calls her work Illumination Photography, because it captures light and illumination of color.
She would love to create a TED talk on the healing qualities of expressive arts therapy. This is one of her ten year goals.
