Helen was born and raised in London. She was attracted to art and creative expression from a young age; on her first day of preschool, she walked straight over to an easel in the corner and began to paint. In High school, Helen took several classes and focused many hours on art techniques. Living so close to many world-renowned art museums influenced her, greatly.
Helen uses watercolor and pencil to create illustrations, motifs, and patterns, which are simple, whimsical, and endearing. She has created over 250 watercolor motifs in a wide range of themes, including birthdays, weddings, babies, tea time, and holidays. A local paper company has commissioned her to create exclusive paper collections featuring her hand-painted watercolor patterns.
Much of Helen's inspiration comes from memories of simple pleasures enjoyed, while she grew up, as well as the beautiful coastline of Laguna Beach.

Helen illustrated the book, "101 Things to Love about Laguna Beach", now in its second print run. She is currently working on illustrations for a number of other book projects, as well. These include a poetry book on California wild flowers, a month-by-month 'mindfulness' journal, and a whimsical guide to an historic city in the UK. She is also collaborating with an Australian writer whose book documents Helen's relationship with her father - the illustrations are charming and sweet, and reflect the close bond between father and daughter.
